Groove Pricing: What You Actually Pay
Groove uses per-user-per-month billing across three tiers, all requiring annual commitment. The headline prices look affordable, but costs scale linearly with every agent you add — and AI features carry separate credit-based charges on top of your subscription.
Three Tiers with Feature Gating
Standard ($12/user/mo billed annually): 2 shared inboxes, 1 knowledge base, email ticketing, basic automation rules, round-robin auto-assignment, and 40+ integrations. Capped at 25 users. No AI features, no SLA management, no premium integrations. Plus ($20/user/mo billed annually): 5 shared inboxes, 2 knowledge bases, AI tools (summarize, sentiment, writing assist), SLA management, advanced reporting, business hours, 10 free lite users, and premium integrations (HubSpot, Jira, Salesforce). Pro ($35/user/mo billed annually): 25 shared inboxes, 5 knowledge bases, 50 free lite users, data exports, enterprise security, skill-based auto-assignment, dedicated account manager, and concierge onboarding.
AI Drafts: Credit-Based Add-On
Groove's AI Drafts (automated response generation from knowledge base and past conversations) run on a separate credit system at $0.25 per draft. Standard plan users get a one-time allocation of 20 free credits to try the feature. Plus and Pro users can purchase credit bundles (100 credits = $25) and enable auto-refills. Unused credits don't expire, but the per-draft cost adds up: a team generating 50 AI drafts per day spends $12.50/day or ~$375/month on AI alone, on top of the subscription. Other AI features (sentiment analysis, summary, suggested tags, text modifications) are included on Plus and Pro without credit charges.
Annual Lock-In
All listed prices assume annual billing. Monthly pricing runs approximately 20% higher. This means committing to 12 months upfront before you've fully evaluated the platform. Groove does offer a 30-day free trial, but an annual commitment after that locks your team in even if needs change.
Real Cost for Growing Teams
A 5-person team on Groove Plus (annual): $100/month. A 10-person team: $200/month. A 15-person team: $300/month. Add AI Draft credits for active usage and the monthly bill climbs further. Converge charges $49/month flat for up to 15 agents with AI reply suggestions included — no per-draft fees, no credit system, no annual commitment required.
The Standard Plan Ceiling
Standard caps at 25 users but lacks SLA management, AI features, business hours configuration, and premium integrations. Most growing teams outgrow it quickly and face the jump to Plus — nearly doubling per-user cost from $12 to $20. The feature gating between tiers pushes teams toward the Plus plan faster than anticipated.
