Migrate All Messaging Channels
Part of the Reamaze migration guide
Complete guide to migrating all your messaging channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, etc.) from Reamaze.
Migrating All Channels from Re:amaze
Re:amaze supports email (all plans), live chat widget (all plans), Facebook Page and Messenger (all plans), Instagram Comments/DMs (all plans), SMS via Twilio or ClickSend (Pro+), voice channels (Pro+), and WhatsApp via Twilio. It does not natively support Telegram, Discord, or Zalo on any plan.
Website Chat Widget
Re:amaze's chat widget is embedded via a JavaScript snippet or through native plugins for Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce. To migrate: For Shopify — uninstall the Re:amaze app from your Shopify admin. For WordPress/WooCommerce — deactivate and delete the Re:amaze plugin. For other platforms — remove the <script> tag containing Re:amaze's embed code from your HTML. Then install your new platform's chat widget using their equivalent method (script tag, GTM template, or native plugin).
Facebook Page and Messenger
Re:amaze connects to Facebook Pages and Messenger through Meta OAuth (configured in Settings → Social channels). Disconnect your Facebook Pages from Re:amaze, then reconnect the same pages to your new platform using Meta OAuth. Your page followers, business verification status, and all page settings remain intact — they're tied to your Meta Business account, not to Re:amaze. Each reconnection takes 2–3 minutes.
Instagram Comments and DMs
Re:amaze supports both Instagram comments/mentions and Instagram Direct Messages (DMs are connected through Facebook Business). Disconnect your Instagram account from Re:amaze's social channel settings, then reconnect it to your new platform. Make sure your Instagram account has "Allow Access to Messages" enabled in Instagram's settings for DM integration to work on the new platform.
WhatsApp (Twilio-Dependent)
Re:amaze's WhatsApp integration is routed through Twilio, not directly through Meta. Migrating WhatsApp requires either updating the Twilio webhook to point to your new platform, or switching to a Meta-native WhatsApp connection (which eliminates Twilio fees). See the dedicated WhatsApp migration guide for the full process.
SMS and Voice (Third-Party Dependent)
SMS channels in Re:amaze use Twilio, ClickSend, or custom SMS providers (Pro plan and above). Voice channels use Aircall, JustCall, RingCentral, or custom voice integrations. These third-party accounts are yours — disconnect them from Re:amaze and connect them to your new platform if supported, or continue using them independently.
Channels You Gain by Switching
Re:amaze has no native support for Telegram, Discord, or Zalo on any plan. If your customers use these platforms, switching to a provider with native support opens new channels without workarounds. Telegram connects via a bot token (2 minutes to set up), Discord via bot token + app ID, and Zalo via OAuth — these are net-new channels you gain, not channels you need to migrate.
Migration order: Start with your lowest-volume channel. Migrate the website chat widget first (just swap the embed code — lowest risk). Then reconnect Facebook/Instagram via OAuth. Save WhatsApp and email for last — they carry the most traffic and have the highest impact if something goes wrong during the switch.
