Compare Pricing Before Switching
Part of the JivoChat migration guide
Compare JivoChat's per-seat pricing against flat-rate alternatives to understand the real cost of switching.
JivoChat Pricing: What You Actually Pay
JivoChat's per-agent pricing looks affordable at first glance, but critical features are locked behind add-on fees that stack on top of per-seat costs. WhatsApp alone adds $25/month to your bill regardless of team size, and video calls cost $21 per agent per month extra.
Four Tiers with Steep Feature Gating
Free ($0): Up to 5 agents with basic live chat, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and Viber. No WhatsApp, no CRM, no chatbots, no visitor monitoring, and a 2-month chat history limit. Basic ($28/agent/mo): Adds proactive invitations, visitor monitoring, CRM with pipeline management, auto-responses, and anti-spam. Unlimited chat history. Still no WhatsApp, no chatbots, no telephony. Professional ($42/agent/mo): First tier with WhatsApp (extra $25/mo), chatbots, telephony ($4/mo add-on), voice messages, chat rescue, and video calls ($21/agent/mo extra). Enterprise ($56/agent/mo): Adds chat routing rules, mobile SDK, Chat API, priority support. Requires minimum 10 agents ($560/mo floor). WhatsApp still costs $25/mo extra.
Add-On Fees That Stack Up
JivoChat's add-on model means the advertised per-agent price is often misleading. A Professional agent with WhatsApp and video calls actually costs $88/agent/month ($42 base + $25 WhatsApp ÷ agents + $21 video). With telephony: $92/agent/month. These costs multiply with every agent you add, while the $25 WhatsApp fee stays fixed regardless of team size. A 5-agent team on Professional with WhatsApp: ($42 × 5) + $25 = $235/month. Add video calls: ($42 + $21) × 5 + $25 = $340/month.
The Enterprise Minimum
Enterprise's chat routing and API access require a minimum of 10 agents at $56/agent/month — a $560/month floor before add-ons. For a team of 6-9 agents that needs routing rules, the only option is to pay for 10 seats you won't fully use, or go without routing on Professional.
Real Cost Comparison by Team Size
JivoChat Professional + WhatsApp vs Converge ($49/mo flat for up to 15 agents): 3 agents: JivoChat $151/mo vs $49/mo — save $1,224/year. 5 agents: JivoChat $235/mo vs $49/mo — save $2,232/year. 10 agents: JivoChat $445/mo vs $49/mo — save $4,752/year. 15 agents: JivoChat $655/mo vs $49/mo — save $7,272/year. These calculations use Professional tier ($42/agent) + WhatsApp ($25 flat). Adding video calls or telephony increases the gap further.
Annual Billing Discount
JivoChat offers lower per-agent prices with annual billing (some sources report $19/agent/month for Professional annually). However, this locks you into a 12-month commitment. Monthly billing runs at the full $42/agent rate. Either way, the per-agent model means costs scale linearly with team growth, while flat-rate platforms stay predictable.
