Migrate All Messaging Channels
Part of the Sleekflow migration guide
Complete guide to migrating all your messaging channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, etc.) from Sleekflow.
Migrating All Channels from SleekFlow
SleekFlow supports WhatsApp Business API, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, Telegram, WeChat, LINE, Viber, SMS (US and Global via Twilio), TikTok Business Messaging, and its Live Chat Widget / AI Growth Widget. It does not support email, Discord, or Zalo as messaging channels.
WhatsApp Business API
SleekFlow is a Meta BSP, so WhatsApp migration requires releasing the number from SleekFlow's BSP infrastructure before connecting it to a new platform. This involves disabling 2FA, requesting number release, and re-verifying on your new platform. See the WhatsApp migration guide for detailed steps. Your verified status and message templates carry over via Meta Business Manager.
Social Channels (Messenger, Instagram, TikTok)
These connect via Meta OAuth (Messenger, Instagram) or TikTok's business API. Disconnect from SleekFlow under Channels settings, then reconnect the same business pages to your new platform. Your page followers, business verification, and messaging history on the social platforms remain intact — they're tied to Meta/TikTok, not SleekFlow.
Telegram
SleekFlow connects Telegram via a bot token from BotFather. Disconnect from SleekFlow's Channels settings first, then paste the same bot token (or generate a new one) into your new platform's Telegram setup. Connection is instant — no approval process needed.
WeChat, LINE, and Viber
SleekFlow supports WeChat Official, LINE Business, and Viber — channels popular in Asian markets. If you're migrating to a platform that doesn't support these (most Western platforms don't), you'll need to keep a separate tool for these channels or evaluate whether your customer base still needs them. Disconnect each from SleekFlow's channel settings before connecting elsewhere.
Live Chat Widget / AI Growth Widget
Remove SleekFlow's widget embed code from your website. If you used the Shopify or WordPress plugin, uninstall it. Replace with your new platform's chat widget. SleekFlow's AI Growth Widget (with AI-powered responses and page tracking) will need to be replaced with equivalent functionality on your new platform.
New Channel Opportunities
Switching platforms can open access to channels SleekFlow doesn't support. Discord (for community-driven support and gaming/crypto businesses), Zalo (essential for businesses in Vietnam), and email (for traditional customer support) are not available in SleekFlow but may be natively supported by other platforms.
Migration order: Start with your lowest-volume channel to test the process. Migrate WhatsApp last since it involves BSP-level changes and has the highest risk of downtime. Keep SleekFlow active for WhatsApp during the initial transition, routing other channels through your new platform first. Once all non-WhatsApp channels are stable (typically 3-5 days), complete the WhatsApp BSP transfer as the final step.
