Migrating Email Support from Zoho SalesIQ

Zoho SalesIQ handles email primarily through its integration with Zoho Desk and Zoho Mail, or by sending chat transcripts to configured email addresses. SalesIQ itself is not a full email ticketing system — it's a live chat tool that can forward transcripts and notifications via email.

How SalesIQ Uses Email

SalesIQ sends email in two ways: chat transcripts (forwarded to a configured email address after each conversation ends) and missed chat notifications (emailed to operators when a visitor leaves without getting a response). These are configured under Settings > Global Settings where you specify destination email addresses for transcript forwarding.

If You Use Zoho Desk for Email Tickets

Many SalesIQ users pair it with Zoho Desk for email support. If that's your setup, the email migration involves Zoho Desk, not SalesIQ. You'll need to update your support email forwarding rules (or MX records) to point to your new platform instead of Zoho Desk's incoming address.

Migration Steps

If you're using transcript forwarding: simply update the destination email or remove the forwarding configuration in SalesIQ's global settings. If you're using Zoho Desk for email tickets: export your Zoho Desk ticket history, then reconfigure your support email to forward to your new platform. No DNS changes are needed if you were using forwarding rules — just update the forwarding destination in your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, etc.).

Since SalesIQ is primarily a live chat tool, most of your "email migration" work is about moving any Zoho Desk email workflows, not SalesIQ-specific configurations.
