Compare Pricing Before Switching
Part of the LiveChat migration guide
Compare LiveChat's per-seat pricing against flat-rate alternatives to understand the real cost of switching.
LiveChat Pricing: The Full Picture
LiveChat charges per agent per month across four tiers: Starter ($19), Team ($49), Business ($79), and Enterprise (~$149). The headline prices require annual billing — monthly billing adds 25-30% more.
Starter Plan: $19/agent/mo (Annual) or $25/agent/mo (Monthly)
Includes the chat widget, canned responses, and basic visitor tracking (100 visitors max). Critically, the Starter plan limits chat history to 60 days, provides no reporting, no chat tagging, no file sharing, no group organization, and only one automated greeting. Pre-chat and post-chat surveys use defaults only — no customization. For a team of 5, this costs $95/mo (annual) with significant feature gaps.
Team Plan: $49/agent/mo (Annual) or $59/agent/mo (Monthly)
Adds unlimited chat history, basic reporting, custom surveys, chat tagging, file sharing, group organization, and 400 visitor tracking. This is where LiveChat becomes genuinely usable for a support team. A 5-agent team costs $245/mo (annual) or $295/mo (monthly). A 10-agent team costs $490/mo (annual).
Business Plan: $79/agent/mo (Annual) or $89/agent/mo (Monthly)
Adds advanced reporting, staffing prediction, work scheduler, and 1,000 visitor tracking. A 5-agent team costs $395/mo (annual). Most of these features address operational efficiency for larger teams.
Hidden Costs: The Separate Product Ecosystem
LiveChat is part of the Text product family, and key features require purchasing separate subscriptions. ChatBot (automation) starts at ~$52/mo. HelpDesk (ticketing/email support) is a separate product since LiveChat's native ticketing was sunset in January 2025. KnowledgeBase (help center articles) is another separate subscription. The WhatsApp Business integration itself has its own pricing through 360dialog. These add-ons can double or triple your total cost.
Converge Comparison
Converge charges a flat $49/month for up to 15 agents — the same price as one agent on LiveChat's Team plan. A 5-agent team on LiveChat Team costs $245/mo vs. $49/mo on Converge. That's $2,352 saved annually. Converge includes AI reply suggestions, message translation, and all messaging channels with no add-on fees.
LiveChat's Starter plan advertises $19/agent but strips out reporting, file sharing, chat tagging, and limits history to 60 days — making it unsuitable for most support operations. The realistic minimum is the Team plan at $49/agent.
