Step-by-step guide to moving your WhatsApp Business conversations and contacts from Mevrik to a new platform.

Moving WhatsApp Business from Mevrik

Mevrik lists WhatsApp as a supported channel and connects through Meta's WhatsApp Business API. Your phone number and WhatsApp Business Account are tied to your Meta Business Manager — not to Mevrik — so they survive the switch to a new platform.

Step 1: Review Your Current WhatsApp Setup

In your Mevrik dashboard, locate your WhatsApp integration under the Channels settings. Note which phone numbers are connected and which Meta Business Account they're associated with. Mevrik's WhatsApp integration supports the WhatsApp Business API, meaning your number is registered through Meta's ecosystem. Verify your Meta Business verification status at business.facebook.com — this carries over regardless of which support platform you use.

Step 2: Prepare in Meta Business Manager

Log into Meta Business Manager > WhatsApp Manager to verify your WhatsApp Business Account ownership. Confirm your phone number's verification status and display name. If two-factor authentication is enabled on the WABA, you may need to disable it before initiating the migration — Meta requires this for Business Solution Provider (BSP) transfers. Note any approved WhatsApp message templates you've created, as template approval carries over with the number.

Step 3: Disconnect from Mevrik

Remove the WhatsApp channel from your Mevrik account through the Channels settings. Then go to Meta Business Manager > WhatsApp Manager > Phone numbers and remove the number from Mevrik's BSP registration. This releases the webhook routing from Mevrik's infrastructure. Allow a few minutes for the disconnection to propagate through Meta's systems before attempting to connect elsewhere.

Step 4: Connect to Your New Platform

Use your new platform's WhatsApp OAuth flow to reconnect the same phone number. Your verified business status, display name, quality rating, and profile carry over — they're stored in Meta's system, not Mevrik's. The connection process typically takes 2–5 minutes once the number is released from the previous BSP.

Document Mevrik-Specific WhatsApp Workflows

If you used Mevrik's Smart Routing to direct WhatsApp conversations to specific agents based on skills, document these routing rules. Also save any canned responses or AI Agent auto-reply configurations specific to WhatsApp. Mevrik's Mev AI Agent may have been handling some WhatsApp interactions autonomously via Auto-Pilot mode — note which queries it handled so you can recreate equivalent auto-reply rules on your new platform.

Important: Plan the switchover during low-traffic hours. There's a brief gap (typically minutes, sometimes up to a few hours) between disconnecting from Mevrik and connecting to your new platform where incoming WhatsApp messages won't be routed to any inbox.
