Migrate All Messaging Channels
Part of the Mevrik migration guide
Complete guide to migrating all your messaging channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, etc.) from Mevrik.
Migrating All Channels from Mevrik
Mevrik supports seven native channels: Email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, Facebook (comments/posts), Instagram (comments/posts), and Mevrik Messenger (their web chat widget). It does not natively support Telegram, Discord, or Zalo on any plan.
Mevrik Messenger (Web Chat Widget)
Mevrik's web chat widget — called "Mevrik Messenger" — is embedded on your website via a JavaScript snippet. To migrate: remove the Mevrik Messenger code from your site. If installed through a CMS plugin (WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce), uninstall the plugin or app. Then install your new platform's chat widget using their equivalent method — script tag, Google Tag Manager template, or native CMS plugins. Mevrik Messenger's appearance customizations (colors, welcome messages, offline settings) won't transfer — configure these fresh on your new widget.
Facebook and Instagram (Messaging + Social)
Mevrik connects to Facebook and Instagram through Meta OAuth for both direct messaging (Messenger, Instagram DMs) and social media management (comments, posts, scheduling). Disconnect these channels from Mevrik, then reconnect the same Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts to your new platform. Your page followers, verification status, and ad accounts remain intact — they're tied to your Meta Business account. Note: Mevrik's social media publishing and scheduling features (post creation, Reels/Shorts scheduling, comment moderation) are social management tools that messaging platforms may not replicate.
WhatsApp requires a number transfer through Meta's WhatsApp Manager (see the detailed WhatsApp migration guide). Disconnect the number from Mevrik's BSP, wait for propagation, then connect to your new platform. Your verified business status, display name, and approved templates carry over.
Mevrik consolidates multiple email accounts into its unified inbox with intelligent routing. Update your email forwarding rules or OAuth connections to point to your new platform. For detailed steps, see the email migration guide.
Channels Mevrik Doesn't Support
Mevrik has no native integration for Telegram, Discord, or Zalo on any plan. If your customers use these platforms, switching to a platform with native support opens entirely new communication channels. Telegram connects via a bot token (2 minutes to set up), Discord via a bot token and app ID, and Zalo via OAuth. These are net-new channels you gain by switching — not channels you need to migrate.
Migration Order
Start with your lowest-volume channel to validate the setup. Migrate the web chat widget first (lowest risk — just swap the script tag). Then handle Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs (quick OAuth reconnection). Save WhatsApp and email for last — they typically carry the most support traffic and have the highest impact if something disrupts the switch.
What you lose: Mevrik's social media management capabilities — post scheduling, Reels/Shorts scheduling, comment moderation, and social analytics — are marketing features that won't transfer to a messaging-focused platform. If you rely on these, you'll need a separate social media management tool alongside your new support inbox.
