Freshchat Pricing: What You Actually Pay

Freshchat uses per-agent pricing across four tiers: Free ($0 for up to 10 agents), Growth ($19/agent/month), Pro ($49/agent/month), and Enterprise ($79/agent/month) — all billed annually. Monthly billing is available but costs more.

Base Plan Costs

The Free plan supports up to 10 agents but limits you to website chat and email only — no WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram. To unlock social and messaging channels, you need the Growth plan at minimum ($19/agent/month). The Pro plan ($49/agent/month) adds custom dashboards, advanced routing, and multiple SLA policies. Enterprise ($79/agent/month) adds skills-based assignment and enhanced security. A 5-agent team on the Pro plan costs $245/month, while a 10-agent team costs $490/month.

AI Add-On Costs (Freddy)

Freshchat's AI features are not included in base plans. Freddy AI Copilot (agent assist with suggested replies) costs an additional $29/agent/month and is only available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Freddy AI Agent (customer-facing chatbot) includes 500 free sessions, then costs $49 per 100 sessions ($100 per 1,000 sessions). For a 5-agent Pro team using AI Copilot, you're looking at $245 + $145 = $390/month before any bot session costs.

Campaign and Phone Add-Ons

Proactive messaging campaigns on WhatsApp, email, and SMS are limited to 500 contacts/month on paid plans. Additional campaign contacts cost $100/month per 10,000 contacts. Adding Freshcaller (phone support) starts at $15/agent/month on top of your Freshchat plan. Day passes for occasional agents cost $2 each.

Annual Billing Lock-In

All advertised prices require annual billing. Monthly billing is available but at higher rates. Freshchat does not publish monthly rates prominently, so request a quote if you need month-to-month flexibility. There are no cancellation fees, but your cancellation only takes effect at the end of your billing term.

Converge Cost Comparison

Converge charges a flat $49/month for up to 15 agents with all channels included, AI reply suggestions at no extra cost, and no annual commitment required. A 5-agent team pays $49 total on Converge versus $245-$390 on Freshchat Pro (with or without AI). That's a savings of $2,352-$4,092 per year.
