Moving WhatsApp Business from Comm100

Comm100 handles WhatsApp through its Ticketing & Messaging product, not through Live Chat. Your WhatsApp Business number, verified status, and message templates are tied to your Meta Business Manager account, not to Comm100, so they carry over when you switch.

Step 1: Check Your Current WhatsApp Setup

In Comm100, WhatsApp is configured as a messaging channel within the Ticketing & Messaging product. Locate your WhatsApp connection settings in the Channels section of the Comm100 Control Panel. Note your connected phone number and the Meta Business Manager account it's linked to — you'll need these details when reconnecting to your new platform.

Step 2: Disconnect from Comm100

Remove the WhatsApp integration from Comm100's channel settings. If Comm100 is registered as your WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP), you may need to release the phone number through your Meta Business Manager before connecting it elsewhere. Check Meta's WhatsApp Manager to confirm the number is available for reassignment.

Step 3: Connect to Your New Platform

Use your new platform's WhatsApp OAuth flow to reconnect the same phone number. Your business verification, display name, and quality rating are stored in Meta's system — they transfer automatically. The reconnection process typically takes 2-5 minutes.

Step 4: Recreate Automation Flows

WhatsApp message templates (for proactive outreach) remain in Meta Business Manager and are available on any platform. However, any Comm100 AI Agent flows or routing rules that triggered on WhatsApp conversations need to be recreated. If you used Comm100's AI Agent to handle WhatsApp inquiries, document those flows before disconnecting.

Important: Plan the switchover during low-traffic hours. There's a brief gap (minutes to a few hours) between disconnecting from Comm100 and connecting to your new platform where incoming WhatsApp messages won't be routed to any inbox.
