Migrate All Messaging Channels
Part of the Sprinklr migration guide
Complete guide to migrating all your messaging channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, etc.) from Sprinklr.
Migrating All Channels from Sprinklr
Sprinklr supports 30+ channels across social media, messaging, email, voice, and live chat. The platform connects to Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, Line, WeChat, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business, and more — but does not natively support Discord or Zalo.
Social Channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn)
These connect via OAuth through each platform's API. Disconnect from Sprinklr's channel settings, then reconnect the same business pages and accounts to your new platform. Your followers, page settings, and verification status remain intact — they're tied to your social media accounts, not Sprinklr. Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs are part of the Meta integration, so disconnect and reconnect through your Meta Business Suite.
Messaging Apps (WhatsApp, Telegram)
WhatsApp migrates through Meta Business Manager (see the WhatsApp migration sub-guide). Telegram connects via a bot token — you can generate a new token from BotFather or reuse your existing one. Telegram migration is instant: paste the token in your new platform and messages route immediately. Sprinklr also supports Line and WeChat — check whether your new platform supports these channels before switching.
Voice and Live Chat
If you use Sprinklr's voice channel (inbound/outbound calling), it connects through telephony carriers like Twilio or Amazon Connect. These carrier relationships are yours — you can reconnect them to a different platform. Sprinklr's live chat widget is embedded via JavaScript on your website. Remove the Sprinklr chat widget code and replace it with your new platform's widget snippet.
Channels Sprinklr Doesn't Support
Sprinklr does not natively support Discord or Zalo. If your customers use these platforms, switching to a platform with native support opens new communication channels. Discord connects via a bot token and app ID (2 minutes to set up), and Zalo connects via OAuth — both without requiring enterprise-tier licensing or third-party marketplace apps.
Migration Order
Start with your lowest-volume channel to validate the setup. Work up to high-traffic channels. Migrate email and WhatsApp last since they carry the most risk if routing fails. For each channel: disconnect from Sprinklr, connect to your new platform, send a test message to confirm routing works, then move to the next channel.
Note: Sprinklr's 30+ channel count includes channels like YouTube comments, Google Business reviews, and Pinterest — channels that some messaging platforms don't support because they're social publishing channels, not conversation channels. Identify which channels you actually use for customer conversations versus social media marketing to scope your migration accurately.
