Freshdesk Pricing: What You Actually Pay
Freshdesk's pricing is split across two separate product lines — standard Freshdesk (email ticketing) and Freshdesk Omni (omnichannel messaging). The advertised prices require annual billing, and AI features add $29/agent/month on top of your base plan.
Two Product Lines, Seven Plans
Standard Freshdesk (email ticketing only): Free ($0, 2 agents, 6-month limit), Growth ($15/agent/mo), Pro ($49/agent/mo), Enterprise ($79/agent/mo). These plans handle email tickets — no WhatsApp, no Messenger, no omnichannel inbox. Freshdesk Omni (messaging + ticketing): Growth ($29/agent/mo), Pro ($79/agent/mo), Enterprise ($119/agent/mo). These add WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, LINE, SMS, and a unified inbox. The confusion starts here: you must choose the right product line before choosing a plan.
Freddy AI Add-Ons
All Omni plans include 500 Freddy AI sessions per month for automated responses. Beyond 500 sessions, extra packs cost $100 per 1,000 sessions — and unused sessions don't roll over. Freddy AI Copilot (agent assistance for reply suggestions, ticket summaries, and tone adjustment) is a separate add-on: $29/agent/month with annual billing, $35/agent/month billed monthly. For a 5-agent team on Omni Pro with Copilot: ($79 + $29) × 5 = $540/month.
Annual Billing Lock-In
Every Freshdesk price shown on the website assumes annual billing. Monthly billing is available but costs more — Freshworks doesn't prominently advertise the monthly rates. If you commit annually and your team shrinks or you want to switch mid-contract, you're locked in until renewal. The Free tier is limited to 6 months and 2 agents, after which you must upgrade to a paid plan.
Real Cost Scenarios
A 5-agent team on standard Freshdesk Growth (email only): $75/month. The same team on Omni Growth (with messaging): $145/month. On Omni Pro: $395/month. On Omni Pro with AI Copilot: $540/month. A 10-agent team on Omni Pro: $790/month. With AI Copilot: $1,080/month. With Converge at $49/month flat for up to 15 agents, that same 5-agent team saves $4,152–$5,892/year depending on add-ons.
